If you have never used the Bay Window Poles before they can be a little tricky. Just as when you install anything else, make sure you read the instructions before you attempt the project. I won’t go into telling you all about what we had to do because every project will be different. Ours wasn’t that bad but I have had some experience that has not gone as planned.
One time we were hanging a TV and it was one of the new LCD’s that just came out. We bought a wall mount unit for it and the TV at the same time. We bought them together so we didn’t think much of making sure anything was supposed to be specific. So we got the stuff and went home. Home at this time was about 45 minutes away from where we were buying the TV. Not a short trip especially if traffic was bad. We got home and unpacked the TV and just looked at it for a little bit. We loved the TV; the picture was as perfect as we had ever seen it before, especially on the Blue Ray player.
After watching TV for a while we decided to call it a night. We liked the idea of having it on the wall, but we just weren’t motivated enough to hang it that night. So the next day we tackled the project. We got the mount out and were measuring on the wall to hang it up. We predrilled all the holes and got everything just right. We spend about 2 hours just doing the prep work. After all of this, we hung the mount up on the wall. Then was the next step, we had to get the mount on the back of the TV. Well as it turned out, we bought the wrong mount. We didn’t read the instructions that were on the front of the box. It said what model TVs it went with and it wasn’t the one we bought. So we had to take the thing down from the wall, pack it back up in the box, and drive all the way back to the store to get a new one.
After we got a new one, everything was fine. It was a whole day that we basically wasted because of one little thing. We didn’t read the instructions. This was just not good that we wasted a whole day doing nothing really. I hope you don’t have the same experience we did. I know that having the bay window poles are a bit different but you can have the same experience that we did no matter what you buy. I just hope you don’t have the same experience.
